Unleashing Potential on the Track

TBEXUSA

Race Team

Formed in 2021, TEAM TBEXUSA Racing is a testament to the power of determination and skill, showcasing the incredible abilities of our disabled riders on the racetrack. The team’s inception was serendipitous, sparked by a chance encounter with former MotoAmerica Twins Cup racer Robbie Cichielo Jr. While visiting our shop, Robbie was captivated by the unique adaptations on our motorcycles, leading to an inspiring conversation about our riders' participation in track days. This discussion ignited the ambition to take our riders racing, and the N2/WERA endurance “relay” racing series provided the perfect platform. These 4 hour races where teams of up to four riders each tackle their own motorcycles, was a perfect format and allowed each rider to use their customized bikes.

Our initial challenge was to determine if our riders could sustain a 45–60-minute session and maintain a competitive pace with able-bodied teams. Our debut team comprised three talented disabled racers and Robbie, who served as a supportive anchor. We answered our own questions emphatically by completing and finishing our first-ever endurance race at Pittsburgh International Raceway in August 2021.

In 2022, TEAM TBEXUSA Racing embarked on the full N2/WERA relay series, clinching the championship with a team of three disabled riders and one able-bodied rider. By 2023, we expanded to form a second team for the ultralightweight 2-hour endurance series, showcasing two disabled riders. The Relay Team secured 3rd overall, while the ultralightweight team achieved a commendable 16th place, despite participating in only a few rounds that season. Our racers also ventured into individual sprint racing, achieving numerous victories and podium finishes with both WERA and ASRA/CCS.

Although financial constraints prevented team racing in 2024, our racers continued to shine in individual sprint races, amassing a collection of 1st place finishes and podiums. This year culminated in a dream come true for three of our racers, who achieved podium finishes at the iconic Daytona International Speedway.

Looking ahead to 2025, Team TBEXUSA Racing is committed to continuing individual sprint racing and has scheduled five exciting weekends to showcase our skills across various classes with ASRA/CCS. We invite you to witness our racers in action and lend your support at the following events:

  • May 9-11, 2025, Pittsburgh International Raceway, PA
